POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The position will be based out of the company’s office in The Woodlands, Texas. The candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of engineers, geoscientist and land professionals and will provide support through his/her knowledge of reservoir characterization, reservoir management, performance analysis and surveillance. Must be able to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision, while meeting the established deadlines. Must have a thorough understanding of practical petroleum economic theory. Must work well in a team setting and communicate efficiently with a strong emphasis on prioritization, accuracy, and presentation skills.

Description of Tasks:

  • Assist in technical evaluations and presentations of materials for the executive management team and investor relations departments
  • Provide support to both corporate reserves and A&D departments
  • Ability to create and utilize technical workflows in Spotfire
  • Seeks to improve and increase efficiency of routine analysis
  • Responsible for aiding in evaluating and initiating exploitation opportunities, including new drill wells, and outside operated opportunities.
  • Proficient and strong understanding of probabilistic and deterministic methods.
  • Can easily identify limitations in data set and range in certainty of results.
  • Conduct technical reviews and asset valuations for both operated positions and business development opportunities to maximize economic value
  • Identify and implement business unit improvements to enhance organizational performance.
  • Duties involve identification, justification, and implementation of reserves-bearing opportunities.
  • Short and long-term production forecasting, reserves estimation and reporting, and support of annual budget and planning cycles.
  • Provide ongoing look back analysis regarding recently drilled wells and incorporate findings into future development plans.
  • Evaluate and report competitor results and conduct basin studies for benchmarking and acquisition opportunities
  • Support team with building LOE and CAPEX models using connected Sql databases and Spotfire. Ability to support analysis of the data
  • Understand and follow all safety policies & procedures based on company HSE program

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. in Engineering required; B.S. in Petroleum Engineering preferred.
  • 2 – 5 years of industry related experience preferably with a concentration in reservoir engineering
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of Aries and Spotfire
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed

The position will be based out of the company’s office in The Woodlands, Texas. The candidate will be responsible for development of landing zones, well plans and geological prognosis. They will also provide geosteering support on wells in multiple basins and formations while maintaining daily reporting and oversight for wellsite geology. Additionally, they will be involved in the interpretation and mapping of formation tops from multiple sources of data and preparing detail structure, Isopach and cross-section maps to aid understanding. Must be able to handle multiple projects while working on both office and field work simultaneously with minimal supervision. Must work well in a team setting and communicate efficiently with a strong emphasis on prioritization and presentation skills.

Description of Tasks:

  • Build Geo-Prognosis, develop landing zones and well plans for horizontal wells
  • Geosteer wells real time across multiple formations using Starsteer
  • Up-keep geological software Starsteer and Petra
  • Maintain a daily reporting system for well operation and data gathering and management
  • Provide technical and operational support to directional drillers, company men, and office technical staff
  • Oversee the wellsite geology processes and procedures including mud loggers, wireline loggers and coring activities
  • Proficient in subsurface mapping, including interpretation and mapping formation tops from digital and raster log data to generate detailed structure, isochron/isopach, cross-sections and interpretive maps
  • Understand and follow all safety policies & procedures based on company HSE program.
  • Prepare geological reports and presentations.
  • Available and willing to make field visits, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with office and field personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. in Geology/Geoscience required; M.S. in Geology/Geoscience preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of industry related experience.
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office.
  • Experience with real-time geosteering and horizontal drilling operations
  • Starsteer and Petra knowledge is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours while geosteering during 24/7 rig operations.

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position will be based out of the company’s office in The Woodlands, Texas. The candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of operational joint interest billings and account reconciliations.

Description of Tasks:

  • Complete monthly JIB transactions and closing process including overhead booking, cost allocations maintenance, SWD entries, journal entries, and JIB statement distribution to owners through Energylink and mail.
  • Maintain up to date payout statements for operated properties and communicate changes to payout status timely for deck changes.
  • Review LOS for accuracy and be able to analyze data variances in regard to lease operating expenses and capital costs.
  • Maintain AR reports for documenting issues and collection efforts.
  • Research and identify receivables that are potentially uncollectible and submit recommendations for resolution to management.
  • Work with joint operating partners to resolve collection issues.
  • Apply cash receipts to AR timely and accurately
  • Review and interpret joint operating agreements as needed.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting as needed.
  • Other ad hoc data analysis and support, as necessary.
  • Assist with AFE setups within the Ogsys software
  • Complete entries related to owner transfers of joint interest costs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. in Accounting preferred
  • 1 – 3 years of oil and gas accounting experience with an emphasis in JIB accounting.
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office and efficient in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of OGsys, EnergyLink and Open Invoice
